History

History -- A narrative of events .
We all at some point either fascinated by history or troubled by it at school. Some find Norse, Egyptian civilizations interesting other find it boring.
For me history provides an explanation for a series of events. Look at Norway. It is famous for black metal (a genre of music consisting of heavy guitar riffs and inspired by satin). They pray satin and violence. This music depicts the violence and aggression inside human and the black side of him. But how come norway became the pioneer of black metal. For this you need to look into the roots and history of norway.
Norway was part of Norse civilization. They used to pray odin(god of war). War and violence was used to please gods. Their mythology is influenced by giants. Later vikings civilization came into being in Norway. Their main aim of life was war. They used to pray so called black powers. Today black metal depicts the spirit of vikings.

Sometimes i think we are really advanced and civilized but then you realize , we have lost more than what we have a achieved. There are still architectures and mysteries we have not yet solved. We still dont know how iron pillar of delhi stands without rust.

Even source of different religions and believes can be understood by studying history of state of people during the era in which a particular religion came into being.

Whatever be the field , history and anthropology provide useful inputs.
